InscriptionsEach piece monogrammed with a capital "S" of gothic form, engraved in outline with shading linesMarks and Labels/Stamps(.1a) marked TIFFANY & Co. / 18389 B MAKERS 16770 / STERLING SILVER / 925-1000 / m (the italic lowercase m used 1907 to 1947, according to Charles Carpenter's "Tiffany Silver"); also marked 2 3/4 PINTS / 1; (.1b-c all have same mark, without the pints mark, but including the "1" on each piece; (.1d) is unmarked; (.2) has same mark, but for "2 1/2 PINTS / 2" and order number after MAKERS is 15673; (.3) has same mark but for "2 PINTS / 9" and order number after MAKERS is 15991; (.4a) has same mark (lid b is unmarked) but for "39" and order number after MAKERS is 15992; (.5) has same mark but for order number after MAKERS which is 15674; (.6) has same mark but for order number which is 9392; (.7) has same mark but for 1 3/4 PINTS / 1 and order number after MAKERS which is 9500; (.8) has same mark but for design and order number, which are 19289 B MAKERS 8616, and at lower edge of back of tray "24 IN."
